Text Me is based in Wellington, New Zealand and is a privately-held technology company.  The company specialises in developing simple tools that enable businesses to connect and engage with consumers via their mobile phone. 

Our technology allows small businesses and marketing agencies, to easily set up and run their own interactive mobile campaigns and be able to reach customers directly and in real time with information, offers and deals that's targeted to them. As research shows that mobile phones are very seldom further than a metre away from their owners, its a channel which enables businesses to reach customers immediately.  

Businesses may want to promote their brand (e.g. sweepstakes, competitions, samples/giveaways etc) or they may have a real challenge on hand.  For example: A restaurant owner may be looking at her empty restaurant at 6pm and want to encourage people to come and fill their tables.  The restaurant owner may decide to offer a "Buy 1 get 1 free between 6.30pm-8.30pm" that night, to encourage people to come and dine at their restuarant. Our system would allow the restaurant owner to contact customers straight away and SMS them that offer, to help fill the restaurant and get "bums on seats".
