What is Text Me?

Text Me is a quick and convenient service that allows you to use your email address and mobile phone to receive email and SMS text messages about things that interest you or want to know about.
Consider your mobile phone as your very own personal assistant. An assistant that knows what you like, what you want, can save you time and money and can get this information to you anywhere, anytime instantly via your mobile phone.

How much does it cost to use Text Me?
A:
When you sign up to use Text Me, you will be required to verify that you own your mobile phone. This part of the verification process will require you to SMS a code to us from your mobile phone to our shortcode.
If we initiate and send you a SMS text however, it's free to receive our messages.
PLEASE NOTE: if we ever send a SMS alert to you out of the blue, be assured that you don't get charged for the privilege. Some of the services in our marketplace do incur a SMS fee, however these charges only apply if you SMS us via our shortcode/s. In these cases,we will always warn in advance if you are about to be charged for a SMS text (eg. Txt costs 50c) so you can always choose not to use the service and/or send the SMS to us. You always remain 100% in control.

How do I sign up?
A:
The Sign Up button is located at the top right side of the Text Me website. Complete the basic sign up form. We'll then send a confirmation email to your nominated email address to confirm your details.
Once you verify your email address and your mobile phone, you’ll be able to login and start creating your alerts.
Q:
I'm having problems trying to register, what should I do?
A:
Contact us by email at info@textme.co.nz or call 0800 TEXT ME and we'll sort things out for you.

What happens if I change my mobile number?
A:
Login to the Text Me site and go to My Profile to modify your details.
Q:
How many messages will I receive from Text Me?
A:
We will only send you through information that you have registered to receive.
If you are no longer interested in receiving a particular type of message, simply log in to your profile and cancel the alert requests.
Q:
How can I stop receiving information from Text Me?
A:
Login to your profile area and cancel the alerts you have set up. Alternatively you can email info@textme.co.nz providing us with your username, first and last name and mobile number and we can cancel it for you.
